Just normal neighborhood guys, who maybe play call of duty or fifa once in a while. No real gamers were invited. We had a projector set up outside on the deck and were grilling and having beers, kids running around, etc. It looked like a Norman Rockwell painting if you added a few filipina wives and hapa kids.
a commercial for switch 2 came on at half time and like 4 different guys started laughing and chanting (like english soccer hooligans) "no games, no games, switch 2 has no games"
one of the guys hot wives said "I can't believe there is no mario or zelda game and it doesn't have an OLED screen. We should nuke those gook losers again." She has a MBA business degree and said if she were CEO there would be way more games. Then we got so busy talking about how bad the latest Nintendo Direct was (nothing but remakes and shitty JRPGs) that we missed the start of the 2nd half. One guy who was there alone sheepishly admitted he bought one and hasn't played it in 7 months and a woman gave him a courtesy hug. Nintendo is in serious trouble. |
