Chaos erupted aboard PIA flight PK-212 from Dubai to Islamabad after an operational delay stretched to nearly three and a half hours. According to reports, Dubai airport authorities introduced intervals between flight departures due to the regional security situation, leaving the aircraft waiting despite being ready for take-off.
Passengers were served food during the delay, but tensions later escalated when some individuals allegedly attempted to force their way into the cockpit. Crew members intervened and prevented access, while one agitated passenger reportedly damaged an aircraft window.
Dubai security officials were called to the scene and detained several passengers accused of involvement in the disturbance. Following the incident, the aircraft was grounded, while the remaining passengers and crew were moved to a hotel.
A spokesperson said the flight was rescheduled to depart for Islamabad at 11:15 pm. |
