I think the plot that's dragging the most right now is The Ghoul's backflashes. Getting sick of caring about what his stupid family did 200 years ago. Not throwing in the towel yet but it better get edgy quick.
For reference I was a big fan of The Witcher Season 1 and thought Season 2 was terrible. These shows have such a brief window of originality before they get co-opted by the executives. Once they start printing money and have a really broad fanbase it always goes to shit. See GoT, Breaking Bad, etc. Fallout has potential but they gotta stick the landing. Fuck, Mindhunter was another one where the first season was an absolute banger and then Season 2 was about retarded nigger bullshit and then it got canceled go figure. |

They went maximalist and wove together too many unrelated plot lines. Took zero creative risks. All the freshness of season one was gone. Lots of pointless subplots. It was a mess.
Some cool aspects of season 1 that completely died: the Ghoul being a mostly really bad dude with a shred of humanity. In Season 2 he's mostly a big softy who's only a little bad but 90% a good guy. Boring!
In season 1 Lucy was a goodie two shoes getting pimp smacked by reality. She had to make clear choices about who she was. In season 2 she's mostly a side character who has very little conflict. Not even sure why she was in it. Really pushed aside, no serious drama. Scenes too sappy and sentimental.
The black guy in the robot suit had an OK season 2 but wasn't really central to the plot.
Overall it was a flop imo and I won't go back to this franchise. Season 1 they at least showed some balls and pulled no punches. Season 2 was more like here are some random characters, hope you enjoy. I didn't and I regret watching it. Also a lot less funny than season 1. Took itself too seriously. No tongue in cheek. |

if they're already off to Colorado they've also completely wasted New Vegas and Mr House - giving us just a brief glimpse of each - which are the most interesting part of the games. no one gives a shit about NCR vs Brotherhood vs Caesars legions.
