Teachers thought it was harmless and laughed. We could tell it was really affecting him, and nobody liked the fat kid, so one day when he was going in on him a tall handsome kid said "leave him alone you fatass faggot, your dad died because you ate too much" (kid's dad died in a logging accident iirc).
