I kind of hope the judiciary builds back up it's due process over the next few years (most non-lawyers and civil lawyers have no concept of just how minimal your pretrial rights are in a criminal case; there's no MSJ or even 12(b)(6) equivalent, no depos, limited discovery generally, etc.), if only because I don't want to get targeted.
