reminds me of the dumb ass ending to the tv show.

from the first two minutes of s1e1, we are told "winter is coming". during the elaborate world-building we learn that winters last many years, even entire lifetimes... but the upcoming winter is predicted by serious scholars to be the most perilous ever.

Everything that happens in the show, from the political catastrophes to the paranormal threats, happens in the context of the winter's approach.

Then, at the very end, the North gets about 6 inches of snow and the south gets a rare flurry which melts before it hits the streets.

About a week later, a little sprout pushes through and -- TA-DAA FAGGOTS -- Spring is already here.

lmao

The real Game of Thrones was the Autoadmit.com friends we made along the way, and here’s why that’s a good thing:

He actually wrote some pretty great horror stories before he did the SoIaF stuff. I also admire how he really “leans into” his phenotype, he looks exactly how you would expect him to look lol.

I do recommend them, they are actually really bleak, brutal and weird. Wish he stayed on that path but I get that he needed to make a buck. (GRMM)

Speaking of Games of Thrones, would you make any effort to finish the books if you were him? Or do you think he's made the right choice knowing he'll never please anyone at this point either way

Yeah he’s right to never finish it imo. There is no chance that it would please the readership, especially in this era where every retard is free to air out their opinions on social media.

Also, Unfinished Works have an air of intrigue and mystery to them that is advantageous imo. I’m glad Poe never “finished” The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym. I like it how it is.
