- job is posted on the firm's website (i.e., there is a real req) - i was contacted by a recruiter - my experience (+10 years) and credentials (from LS like 17 years ago ljl) are directly in line with firm requirements
in these circumstances, how long can I expect to wait for a response to my lateral app submitted by the recruiter?
in case it matters, i reached out to one of the Partners in the group I am applying to because I've seen her in the market a bunch and she hired on of my subordinates once. no response from her either. it's been about 5 days |

i'm not saying what my theory is definite. just saying that a listing doesnt mean there's a real job.
as niche as it is, all there has to be is 1 person who is qualified for the position and they've already identified that person and the whole thing is a sham.
of course, it could be a legit listing. just saying there's insufficient evidence that it's a legit listing. |
