It's so confusing to me because to me the Brown people from the Americans are such a deeply divergent lineage from India and the middle east. And I want to distinguish between them. But I know if I bring this up you'll just say "are you serious?? they're Brown. There is nothing more complicated about it". And I'll kind of agree. And perhaps this is the exact same conversation that happened when the explorers decided to call the natives Indians.
it's just a function of how much White DNA they have in them
the arabs and mesoamericans who have light skin and who clearly have a bunch of White ancestry act way less Brown
then you have the dravidian hominid sludge creatures in the indian subcontinent who clearly aren't "human" at all, and not surprisingly they don't act anything like humans

I agree but also their faces just look way different. Not talking about the ones that have white ancestry. The types of browns you find in Oxacan vs. the Tamils in South India or whatever just look way different. They obviously both look like throw-back hominids from a million years ago, but clearly deeply divergent species of them.
