That would astounding but not going to happen

I guessed 255 in the guess the bottom thread I started, and I think that might be a bit low but I think upper 200s is quite possible.

What do you think about bitty coin?

The problem is that these coins don't have any intrinsic value. When push comes to shove, is Peterman going to truly hold below $200 if it looks like he might go back to square one?

I don't think it's possible to go back to square one

If ETH maintains anywhere near the current ratio, even if you cut that ratio significantly, BTC would have to go sub $1k for ETH to be under $30.

Personally I don't think the price of BTC will go much under $5k but readily admit it's a guess based on the ATH and % drop from there

I also try to think about this logically and the last crash was caused by a major disastrous event whereas this is a very classic bubble pop

It is also far more mainstream than last time and so much easier to trade and store crypto

I just don't see the doomsday scenario happening but am open to being wrong about that

Adding one thing to counter the above: another obvious issue is that any negative news events re crypto could have a disatrous effect right now. I am not sure what that would be, maybe coinbase gets hacked, IRS goes buckwild, but that could potentially cause a doomsday scenario

I also disagree with those that think stocks plummeting or a recession would be good for crypto. So there's even more risk there IMO.

Yes, it will be difficult to know when to wade back in, assuming there is not some huge bounce. Probably $5k, maybe $4k. There are a lot of people that want to put more in around there. I guess however as it goes down there people will adjust and think they'll wait for it to go to $2k. There isn't really an external anchor you can use to value BTC.

they'll have intrinsic value when people and businesses need them to do blockchain transactions.

Agreed. That is a long way off, and not a clear proposition for BTC at all. Also, hard to know what the value of ETH's network is going to be. I don't know of any business that has announced plans to use the actual public ETH blockchain yet.

OFS. Probably overvalued still, but it will have revenue. The risk there is all on the technical side. I don't know what their platform will look like.
